The fine art of Book-making has nearly a 2000 old year history. Book-making, and art form that combines text and image into three-dimensional, enduring works originates from Asia to Ethiopia to Europe. Books-making is an interpretive art form with endless creative possibilities. Artists will be introduced to three basic forms of hand-made book art: Accordion Style, Stab & Stitch Binding Style, and Book Covers. All participants will be taught the essentials of cutting, folding, sewing, and gluing techniques, and complete a triangular accordion book, a stitch pattern bound book, and a book cover.
