Students have the opportunity to learn the form of hand-pulled printmaking that was used extensively by the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso and French artist Henri Matisse. Linoleum relief printing produces sharp and crisp line and offers endless possibilities for strong, graphic, individual imagery; subtle and delicate subjects; & decorative fine art.
This course will cover:
Basic and alternative tools;
Types of linoleum;
Methods of cutting, texturing Linoleum
Etching, embossing and hand-rubbing linoleum
Variations in printing styles.
Students will hand-print in black & white and tri-color
Supply list will be provided by studio prior to workshop.
