This 4-color workshop offers an alternative method for printmakers who want to create full color lithographic prints from their original or photograph work and for those artist who enjoy experimenting with different techniques.
The workshop is designed to give students the ability to create images using 4 color process on polyester litho plates. Computer generated originals are printed out on separate transparencies, registered, and printed in sequence to produce a full tonal range of tones and colors. Individual should have a basic knowledge of Photoshop. The course will prepare students in color separation and registration techniques. Experimenting with this process will be encouraged. The process uses oil based litho inks.
